Who KE Outdoor Is

KE Outdoor Design (legally KE Protezioni Solari S.r.l.) is an Italian manufacturer focused exclusively on outdoor shading of the highest class. It is based in Noventa di Piave near Venice — in the Veneto region, the historic heart of Italian design and industry. The company was founded in 1987 and, in less than four decades, has grown from a local producer into an internationally recognized premium outdoor brand.

KE is not a lone player. It is part of the FrontYard Group (formerly BAT Group), which has more than 35 years of experience in the shading sector and brings together three complementary brands — KE, BAT and Giulio Barbieri. This gives KE global backing, logistics and development strength that smaller manufacturers simply don't have.

Gennius: The Heart of the Range

KE's flagship collection is the Gennius pergolas — and they are what made the brand a name. At the core of the collection is the bioclimatic Kedry line, available in four levels — Prime, Plus, Neos and Skylife. All share the same principle: aluminium adjustable louvers that control the amount of light, shade and airflow, and that close in the rain and drain water away through a concealed system. The difference lies in the spans, the detailing and the integration options — from compact solutions to large structures for restaurants and hotels.

It was on that project that we showed KE we can not only supply their product, but above all design, survey, engineer and install it flawlessly. On that basis, KE entrusted us with its representation and opened the door to its entire range.
